Clay AD is an interdisciplinary artist, writer, tarot reader and somatic bodyworker. Their first novel, "Metabolize, If Able" (2018) is available through Arcadia Missa Press UK and was named a finalist in the 31st Lambda Literary Award for LGBTQ Sci-Fi, Fantasy and Horror. With their friend and collaborator Isabel Gatzke they lead an ongoing workshop series on somatics and science fiction writing.

Valeska-Gert guest professor for dance sciences, visiting lecturer at Hochschule für Musik & Tanz/Köln, workshop instructor at Tanzfabrik & Berlin Mondiale/Wasserwerk program, mentor at PAP (Performing Arts Program/Berlin-LAFT) & Flausen+bundesnetzwerk program, and board member of the German Centre of the International Theatre Institute. Yuko Chigira is an author, actor and director of the theatre collective “Swanny” (www.swanny.jp) in Tokyo. There she directed two theatre scripts by Rainer Werner Fassbinder (“Der Müll, die Stadt und der Tod” & “Blut am Hals der Katze”). It made her connect with Germany. She has been living in Berlin since 2018 with receiving a subsidy The Crossing Borders program of the Robert Bosch Foundation and Literary Colloquium Berlin. She is a playwright and also writes novels and short stories, like “Maggie, the cat killer” (in “Von Katzentötern, schwebenden Rauchern und der Suche nach Nilpferden”, be.bra Verlag). She also worked as a dramaturge and dancer in projects in Germany.

Mariama Diagne is a postdoctoral dance
scholar and trained dancer. She published her book Schweres Schweben(Heavy Floating) on reading concepts and qualities of gravity in European art
and science, with a critical focus on German choreographer Pina Bausch (2018). In
her research she follows the intertwining of theory and practice within a
critical inquiry of the historicity of dance and culture, and its embedment in
Eurocentric structures. As a dramaturge she accompanies artists in
postcolonial-based contexts. Since 2019 she is president of the society of
dance research (gtf) for Germany, Austria and Switzerland and collaborates with
artists and scholars in the field of dance.

Tracy Fuad's debut collection of poetry, about:blank was selected by Claudia Rankine
as the winner of the Donald Hall Prize, and is forthcoming from University of

Ami Garmon
Choreographer/Performer/Writer Ami Garmon, born in the US, has lived and worked between France and Berlin since 1988 and moved permanently to Berlin in 2003. Besides being a performer for internationally renowned dance- and theatre productions, she creates mostly one-woman shows for theatres and museums, often collaborating with visual and sound artists in performance installations that are intensely visceral and poetic – immersive atmospheres for her writings, her voice and her dances. Her interest has always been on emotion and nostalgia as well as on surfaces both real and projected. The point of entry of many works is often biographical and a desire to place the personal visibly within the fabric of the universal. With a focus on writing, performance and precision of movement her work stretches over diverse fields and media.

Nora Haakh studierte Islamwissenschaft, Politikwissenschaft und Geschichte in Berlin, Paris, Istanbul und Kairo. Während des Studiums begann sie, am Theater zu arbeiten und absolvierte Hospitanzen und Assistenzen an der Schaubühne ("Dritte Generation", am Ballhaus Naunynstraße (u.a. "Verrücktes Blut", "Schwarze Jungfrauen") und arbeitete als Übertitlerin und Produktionsleiterin (HAU, Goethe Institut Irak). Zwischen 2012 und 2015 betreute sie als Dramaturgin am Ballhaus Naunstraße zahlreiche Stückentwicklungen, Uraufführungen und internationale Festivals, seitdem freischaffend im Bereich Theater, Tanz, Performance, Film. Eine langjährige Zusammenarbeit verbindet sie mit Autorin/Regisseurin Nora Abdel-Maksoud. Eigene Inszenierungen beinhalten zeitgenössische arabische Dramatik von Mohammad Al-Attar und Wasim Ghrioui. 2020 schloss sie ihre Promotion ("Layla und Majnun in der Contact Zone") zu Fragen von Übersetzung und Transfer aus dem Arabischen ins Deutsche im zeitgenössischen Theater ab. Seit 2018 experimentiert sie mit Graphic Recording und Life-Zeichnung auf der Bühne, u.a. in "machine to become_woman" mit Natalie Riedelsheimer, "Der Titel ist frei übersetzbar", Regie Meriam Bousselmi, sowie mit ihrer Solo-Performance "Tree Translator" (2021).Kathleen Heil
[DE] Kathleen Heil ist eine Künstlerin, die mit Körpersprachen und dem geschriebenen Wort arbeitet. Ursprünglich aus New Orleans, lebt und arbeitet sie seit 2015 in Berlin als freischaffende Künstlerin im Bereich Text, Performance und Choreografie. Ihre Gedichte, Prosa und Übersetzungen erscheinen u.a. in The New Yorker, bei Diaphanes und MAP - Media / Archive / Performance.[EN] Kathleen Heil is an artist working with languages of the body and the written word. Her interdisciplinary practice is situated at the intersection of dance, text, and performance. As a dancer/performer, Kathleen Heil has collaborated with various artists in Berlin, including Stella Geppert, Jan Burkhardt, and Hilla Steinert, and performed her own choreography in New York (Movement Research), Helsinki (Museum of Impossible Forms), Berlin (Performing Arts Festival / K77), and elsewhere. Her poetry, prose, and translations appear in publications such as The New Yorker, Diaphanes, and MAP - Media / Archive / Performance. Originally from New Orleans, she lives and works as a freelance artist in Berlin since 2015.

[EN] Janis Jirotka (CAN/DE/CZ) is an artist, writer and political educator, currently based in Hamburg. Her work centres around writing poetry, performance and installation art connected to topics of memory politics, postmigrant and queer narratives, feminism and class. She studied social sciences and performance studies in Berlin, New York and Hamburg and is interested in aesthetic research which bridges between body and language, critical theory and political practice. Her latest work, the collective performance project Jesse James oder was der Kommunismus war won the newcomer award Start off 2020.[DE] Janis Jirotka (CAN/DE/CZ) schreibt, arbeitet künstlerisch und in der politischen Bildungsarbeit, und lebt derzeit in Hamburg. Im Schreiben, Performance und installativen Arbeiten beschäftigt sie sich mit Erinnerungspolitiken, postmigrantischen und queeren Narrativen, Feminismus und Klasse. Sie studierte Sozialwissenschaften und Performance Studies in Berlin, New York und Hamburg. Janis interessiert sich für künstlerische Forschung als Vermittlung zwischen Körper und Sprache, kritischer Theorie und politischer Praxis. Zuletzt war sie Teil des kollektiven Performance-Projekts Jesse James oder was der Kommunismus war das den Start off 2020 gewann.

Sirine Malas is an artist living in Berlin. Her writing career kicked off as she focused her engagement into media reporting and editorials during the Syrian revolution in 2011, her work was published in English and Arabic mostly online via IWRP and Syria News Desk (an AFP sponsored initiative), a.o. Related to the Syrian situation, she also collaborates with Deutsche Welle in Berlin, since 2015. Her literature work comprises poetry and short stories, and she recently completed a six-year novel named Dance in the Land of Bull-Killers – a love story in which she journals events as they take place amid revolution, war and displacement (planned to be published in 2022 at Austin Macauley Publishers Ltd).

Patrycja Masłowska – intersectional artist based in Berlin. She studied Performing Arts at Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds, UK and holds BA in Literature from University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań, PL. Nowadays she studies astrology and dreams. Her artistic research is based on exploration and expression of (queer) memory through different artistic forms, combining writing, somatic experience and dramaturgical lens into interconnected matter. Since 2019 she is collaborating with “Acid Bodies”, an ongoing experiment in hybrid forms of radical pedagogy, immersive performance, and social research, originally initiated in ZK/U, Berlin by Grace Euna Kim.

Yon Natalie Mik is a dance artist and writer
whose work considers the poetics of the dancing body through archives and
speculative fiction. Her practice manifests in various forms including
performances, texts, and still/moving images. As the founder and co-editor of
the independent journal publication The Invisible Archive, she is also
involved in questions of creative research and writing as a political practice.
Currently, she writes about choreography and ghosts as a Ph.D. candidate in
dance studies at the Freie Universität Berlin.

Rayén Mitrovich is a Chilean Performance artist
and researcher based in Berlin. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (University
of Chile, 2012-2014) and a Master degree in Scenic Practice and Visual Culture
(University of Castilla-La Mancha and Reina Sofía Museum Spain, 2020). Her
performative work emphasizes a micropolitical approach to artistic practice and
research, with a special interest in space, bodies and intimacy, based on
collaborative structures of exchange and creation in different contexts. She is
currently participating in the Artist Training at UdK Berlin and studying a
Diploma in Critical and Transdisciplinary Research at Global Center for
Advanced Studies (GCAS).

Seda Niğbolu ist Kulturjournalistin, Übersetzerin und Schreibtherapeutin und stammt ursprünglich aus Istanbul. Sie arbeitet auch mit Kindern und Jugendlichen mit Behinderungen und ist Teil eines Selbstverteidigungsteams für Frauen. Die Wechselwirkungen zwischen Kunst, Psychologie und sozialen Veränderungen interessieren und faszinieren sie am meisten. Außerdem hat sie eine besondere Leidenschaft für Tarot und zeitgenössischen Zirkus.

Elisabeth Pape
Elisabeth Pape, geboren 1995 in Potsdam, die ersten Jahre pendelnd zwischen Czernowitz und Berlin, studierte Theaterwissenschaften und Literaturwissenschaften an der Freien Universität Berlin. Seit 2018 ist sie Teil des 15.Jahrgangs des Szenisches Schreibens an der Universität der Künste Berlin. Für die Inszenierung Born Digital des Jungen Deutschen Theaters Berlin hat sie 2016 erstmals Texte für die Bühne geschrieben. Ihre Stücke 400g VERANTWORTUNG und JACK liefen in Werkstattinszenierungen an der Volksbühne und am Theaterdiscounter in Berlin. Im Herbst 2020 war sie Artist-In-Residence-Stipendiatin des index-FREIRAUM-Stipendiums. Ihr Stück THE SCREAMING IMPOSSIBILTY OF DEATH wird am Theater Koblenz 2021 uraufgeführt.

Sabine Schmidt, geboren in Düsseldorf, Studium der Philosophie, Germanistik und Theaterwissenschaften. Forschungsgegenstand: Entstehung von Machtstrukturen, Mensch, Geschlecht, Geschlechtsidentität und der Bezug zur digitalen Gesellschaft. Geprüfte Kulturmanagerin, Abschlussthesis „Berliner Volksbühne – Das Ende der Ära Castorf“, Assistenzen und Hospitanzen in Dramaturgie und Regie, unter anderem bei Bernd Freytag und Marc Polscher, Catherine Umbdenstock, René Pollesch und Philipp Ruch (Zentrum für Politische Schönheit). Fernstudium im Bereich Journalismus. Freischaffende in den darstellenden Künsten und Journalistin, schreibt über Politik und Kultur.

Feras Soliman studierte Jura in Aleppo und arbeitete zunächst als Anwalt, bevor er in Raqqa ein Geschäft für Kinderkleidung eröffnete. Ende 2015 flüchtete er mit seiner Familie über die Türkei, Griechenland und die Balkanroute nach Berlin, wo er derzeit als Delivery-Ausfahrer arbeitet, seine Kinder unterrichtet und sich auf eine Deutschprüfung vorbereitet.

Esther Strauß (geboren 1986) ist Performance- und Sprachkünstlerin. 2015 schläft und träumt Strauß auf Anna Freuds Couch im Sigmund Freud Museum London. 2016 hebt sie das Grab ihres Großvaters mit den Händen aus und wäscht sich mit der Erde, die sein Zuhause ist. 2020 legt Strauß ihren Namen ab, um ein Jahr lang den Namen von Marie Blum zu tragen, die 1943 im Konzentrationslager Auschwitz-Birkenau auf die Welt gekommen und dort am dritten Tag ihres Lebens ermordet worden ist. Performances im Sigmund Freud Museum London, Perdu Amsterdam, Fabbrica del Vapore Mailand, Albertina Wien, La Marelle Marseille. Seit 2015 lehrt Strauß Sprachkunst an der Kunstuniversität Linz.

Katja Wiegand ist eine interdisziplinäre
Künstlerin mit deutsch-russischem Hintergrund. Sie ist Absolventin des Masters
Tanzwissenschaften der FU, arbeitet als freiberufliche Dramaturgin, Regisseurin
und Performerin und engagiert sich für die politische Bildung von Kindern und
Jugendlichen. Ausgehend von der Annahme, dass Körper zugleich Zeugen, Dokumente und Handelnde
sind, versucht sie unterschiedliche Einflüsse aus den
Bereichen Performance, Tanz, Theater, Kulturwissenschaften, Politik und
Philosophie zusammenzubringen. Sie interessiert sich für Strategien, die
gerechte Gesellschaften fördern und kollektives Engagement als Möglichkeit
sehen, ökologische und soziale Merkmale des ihre Arbeit definierenden Systems neu
zu definieren.

journalist. She was born in Jableh, Syria, near Latakia, in 1970, and studied
Arabic literature at Latakia university. Yazbek has been a prominent voice
in support of human rights and more specifically women's rights in Syria. In
2012, she launched Women Now for Development, an NGO based in France that aims
at empowering Syrian women economically and socially and at educating children.
Yazbek has published two collections of short stories, six novels, three non-fiction literary narratives. Samar Yazbek lives in France. Her report on the Syrian revolution “Schrei nach Freiheit” (Nagel & Kimche, 2012) was her most famous book in German translation. Her most recent book, “19 women”, is a non-fiction narrative that collects testimonies of Syrian women who have bravely resisted both the Asad regime and the Islamists.
